LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he lived his entire life. The national media praised him as a potential NBA star. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the number one pick of the NBA draft in 2003. As the NBA rookie player of 2004, he established his name rapidly as one of the best athletes in the league, winning the NBA MVP awards for the years 2009 and 2010. After failing to win an NBA championship, Cleveland James left in 2010 by way of a free-agent to join Miami Heat.
