Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso launched in 2013, has been well-received since it was influenced by her Italian family heritage. Lofaso's classic Italian style is widely considered to be one of Los Angeles' most captivating dining establishments. The food at Lofaso is always authentic warm, welcoming and satisfying. Lofaso was trained by top chefs of note and learned the latest methods however she was not afraid to go against her gut intuitions. She soon rose to the ranks of Wolfgang's Spago after which she went further to collaborate with celebrity chefs in a number of Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. The home of Lofaso was located within Black Market Liquor Bar and her business partnerships. Lofaso was able to enjoy the freedom in her work to pursue the creativity she was seeking through this collaboration. Black Market has no one goal in mind, and is the same way. Alongside her unforgettable performance in Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her uniqueness was also celebrated outside of the kitchen. In the present, she continues to be awe-inspiring on television as a CNBC judge as well as a regular role on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child.
