Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini who is a businessman. Her parents are of Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descendance. Linda was the youngest child of four children in San Francisco Bay, California. At the age of ten, old, she became enthralled by acting when she performed the role of a singer in the Christmas show at her school. She went on to perform in school and community stage productions. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. Following her graduation, she was required to choose between going in New York to pursue theater or Los Angeles to pursue film and television. When she graduated, she had to make a decision on whether to pursue television and film in Los Angeles. Linda performed her first big part as a character Bone Chillers, a 1996 television show. The role she landed her first big break on Freaks and Geeks (1998). The acclaimed show was a decathlete Lindsay Weir. The show received an Emmy Award under the category of Outstanding Casting Comedy Series.

Lily James was born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson (5 April 1989). She is an English actor. Her acting career began in the year 2010, with the British TV series Just William, in which she was a student at the London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After her character as Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her breakout role was playing the title role in the film of fantasy Cinderella (2015). James went on to portray the role of Countess Natasha Rostova in the television adaptation of War & Peace (2016) and also appeared in a variety of films. These included the action film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) as well as The Dig (2021), and musicals Mamma Mia! We're Going To Again (2019) as well as Yesterday (2018). Her portrayal of Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 earned her Golden Globes and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
